I have a question......
DS is starting KG Spetember and I have received no information form the school. I called and found out he will be in the morning session so he will start 8.11 to 11.20, dont know why they have to be so odd times! why not just 8.00 -11.30am?!
anyway, he isstarting sept 6 and on Aug 31st we have orientation, i guess they will tell us everyhting then, but my main question is, do KG have lunch there, or just a snack? and do they have to take school supplies too? i saw all the thread on school supplies I havent bought anything since I dont know if he needs it or not! they are leaving it late to the 31st to tell us anything!.
I am nervous about him starting school as it is!

Our schools district has all day Kindergarten, so yes, they got lunch. Parents supplied the afternoon snacks and we had to pay for milk for them. We also had a school supply list when we registered for Kindergarten last year. Good luck!

My son was in half kg. He was in the afternoon class and they had a snack. I did have to buy his school supplies which I didn't find that out until orientation. You could probably call the school and ask. Good Luck!!! Seems like school now days makes life for the parents a little more complicated. Those times that you posted do seem a little odd. Anything to make our lives a little more stressful :D

if you did not call the school district in late winter they probably did not send you the info i called in febuary for my ds and its a good thing or i would not have recieved the info via mail cause they did not know he needed to be in kg. since your district is 1/2 days then i would bet they will have a morning snack those are almost the hours my son went to preschool and they had snack about 9:45-10am. call about the supply list they may just have a fee(like 15 bucks) or have you purchase them. call ahead though that way you are not out the night before and then can't find stuff..

I would call the school and ask questions!! They should happily answer all questions.
