I am hopefully going to be doing after school care for two girls. Mind you i have boys soooooo i'm not sure what a first grade girl and third grade girl would like to play with. I'll have them for about three hours in the afternoon. We'll come home and have a snack and then do homework.....but what are girls this age into? What do they like to play with????

I would appreciate any suggestions. They won't start for a couple of weeks so i do have time to pick up some age appropriate toys by then.

I have a 1st and 3rd grade girls, so I have lots of ideas for you. My girls like to:

read (chapter books for each of them, though the first grader's are much easier of course)

chalk for drawing outside

LOVE crafts

bikes, scooters, balls, etc. for outdoor play

dressing up and putting on plays

modeling clay

puzzles

nailpolish, play make up

webkinz and other computer games

playing school and house

drawing with markers and paints

making pretend books (stapling papers together, then they write the words and draw the pictures)

sprinkler, etc. outside

Hopefully they'll play with each other a lot.
