Can you tell me if there is a particular type of tennis shoe (or sneaker as it is called by others) that is best to wear while playing volleyball?

Yeah, they make a regular volleyball shoe. I'm not sure of the current brands, but brands that were popular when I played included Mizuno, asics and Nike. Any athletic store should be able to help you out here. These shoes have a better grip to the floor than regular tennis/athletic shoes. HTH

Yep, we went to Scheels Sports Store and bought a volleyball shoe. Of course they are spendy. Tana's was on sale for $69 and it was a cheaper one. In past years she has just had running type shoe. Last year we got one at the Nike outlet.

These are what I wore. They were comfortable and cheap.
