Grr it has been rainy and we have not been outside for a few days. I decided to take my DD to a great place in out town that has inflatable toys (moon walks, etc)+ Jungle Gyms + Playrooms to burn off some steam. I told her the way to get there is pick up her room. She is currently just sitting in her room doing nothing instead of picking up to go to her favorite place in town. I can't believe she is choosing this time to be stubborn when the reward is a visit to the funnest place she knows Plus she is constantly pulling the I'm hungry...I have to pee game to avoid picking up her room which she typically picks up happily. Grr I just want to smack her up side the head and say WTF is wrong with you...Why be stubborn now when the reward is so much fun (don't worry won't actually do that but would love to ) So instead of watching her have a ball I am stuck sitting at home angry because she is being a real pain and giving me a stupid look like it is pleasing her to make me upset. She is 5 and always begging to go to this place so I just can't figure her out right now.

It is all this icky, rainy weather!! It just makes every one contrary and grumpy!! My boys soooo need to get out and run! I even thought about taking them to the next town over to play at McDonalds, but I have an appointment this afternoon, so it is not possible. So here we sit in our dark house watching dvds!

This sounds exactly like something my dd would pull. Honestly, I think my child's #1 hobby is to figure out how much she can pi** me off.

I'm learning to don my "I don't care face" with my dd. She seems like she snaps out of her funks when I act like I don't care how she acts.

If she wants to mope about in her room, then let her do it. Just think of the gas and money you save not going to the inflatables place. Try to find something fun just for you to do (watch a movie, read a book, play with your other little one) and ignore her.
