Ok...not my baby...but my big baby. My first born started kindergarten. It shouldn't be a big deal to me since she was in Pre-K last year, but there's something about the big K.

I stayed home until the bus got there. Yes, I almost cried. I didn't...but I came pretty close.

She is on her way to the sitters now since it was early dismissal, but tomorrow will be a full day...kind of, they get out 50 minutes early. But she will have lunch there.

It's so bitter sweet...

Aaaw, she looks so sweet and grown-up for her first day of kindergarten!! I'm sure she had a wonderful day and is going to love this new world opening up to her. My daughter grew and changed so much last year.
Dh took her last year to her first day of kindergarten--I was recovering from a c-section and dealing with a colicky 10-day-old baby--and I cried all day. I was glad to have the excuse not to go--I don't know if I could have left her there!!! Today was her first day of first grade. I walked her to the classroom, and held my tears until I got to the car. Its so hard to let them go!
