Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with the new ACU's?

I LOVE the fact that I no longer have to wash, starch and iron those dreadful DCU's! However, I love/hate the ACU's! I love that they can be washed and they are done, no ironing, no starching. I HATE the whole velcro thing though. It irritates me to know end. We're always losing the patches (or Ds steals them to play with) and they are SO God forsaken ugly!

Just wanted to vent about it before I go drowned another load of them in the washer in about 5 mins.

Oh wow, you iron your hubby's uniforms?? I must be a bad wife! I told him that was his job! I never iron them. As for the new ACU's...I don't know about them. The Air Force isn't required to wear them until 2011 but we're getting our unifrom allowance for them in October. I think DH was going to buy a set just have as a back up. I'm with you -- they're ugly!!! Bleh. I guess it'll just take a while to get used to them. DH said they're supposed to be much cooler though because of the no starch thing. I guess that would be one plus.

My husband was telling me how much he hates them. That they are ugly LOL He is waiting till the last moment to buy them haha

We made a pact in our marriage that he takes care of all military items and I will do the rest. It works for us. I can't get blamed for anything!!!

Besides, he is much better with the iron than I!!! I give him most of the ironing!

LOVE THEM !!! Dh started wearing them 2 years ago. Years and years of ironing, starching and patching! When DH brought them home at first.. ~I said ..ewwww.. ~ he said ... maintenance free ~ .... I said ..oh yeah baby!! Yes the velcro get annoying and the patches can be a nightmare but I am saving TIME from not ironing and MONEY * no more starch!!*
