I just wanted to say how impressed I am with both of you! It is hard enough with a husband around. I don't know how I could do it without him. You both also seem so wise with your children and the questions that have arose! Good for you!

I was a single mother by choice. My first husband and I fostered, but divorced while the kids were in our care. I chose to keep them and adopt them as a single mother. It actually wasn't long before I met a man who wanted to date me even though I had three children and we've now been married very near five years. I admire all single parents. It was very difficult for me.

It's not always easy...but honestly I think our lives run smoother now than they did the entire time I was married.
Was married for 11 years...3 kids...and it was toward the end of my last pregnancy that I realized my marriage was over. Sometimes you try and try, you give your all, you continue to try and work on yourself/things...but if you get nothing back...well...I was just done. It's been almost 6 years and I can say that I am healthier and happier than I was for a long time. My kids are doing well...though as my son has been going thru the teen years he's rebelled toward Mom and has been staying with his dad recently. We shall see how that goes.

God bless you! Teen years - aarrrrggggh! That I am not looking forward to. Glad to hear you are well sometimes what seems like a bad situation turns out to be a better situation. I truly think one of the best gifts you can give your kids is a happy, healthy, complete, strong mom - way to go!
