Wow. This really warms my heart. Thank you.

One week down and we're still going. Two more to go. We've been keeping busy with activities at the Y for the kids, and with my MOMS Club. The nights SUCK, but that's because it's the only time in the day where dh and I have 'down' time and catch up. I miss having that time with him. Now I just sit in a quiet house ~ Which most people would kill for but the silence kills me!

Thanks so much for thinking of me. That was so very sweet and thoughtful of you. :hugs:

Christy. I hope the time flies by and he'll soon be home. Get you a good book to distract you at night...not that that will replace a loving dh, but at least it might distract you. Glad you're keeping busy during the days.

We've been using our blog as a way to communicate with dh while he's been deployed. I've been making up Daddy Diaries each day with the kids. It's been fun for the kids and dh really likes feeling he's not missing anything.....

I have learned to love the nighttimes when dh is gone. That is our downtime, too, but I have turned it into my project time. I paint some part of the house, work on scrapbooks or get on the treadmill usually.

Hope the time continues to fly by.

I love the video messages from the kids. The kisses to the camera lens and the bath scene are precious. Great presents for daddy!!

I hope the time flies by for you. Mine is hardly ever away from home except for when he goes on the yearly Mexico mission trip. Then he is gone for 3 weeks(because they drive down). I think it may be harder on him than me. 3 weeks living in close quarters with mostly teens is not real fun for my hubby. I don't enjoy being the sole disiplinarian while he is gone. At least one year my son went with him. Now that wasn't so bad. LOL. Just kidding.
