So I ended up taking my 8 yr old in to the dr because he just won't stop coughing and he has asthma, so colds scare me. It turns out that he has an ear infection and bronchitius. He is really, really bad about taking meds so the dr said we could just give him a shot of penicillian. I said great, I don't have to fight with him 2x a day then!!! So the nurse comes in with the shot along with 3 other nurses to help hold him down Suddenly the dr runs into the room and yells stop!!!! My son is allergic to augmentin, so he can't have penicillian based meds!! Geez, I am usually on top of this with both of my kids who have medicine allergies!!! Yikes, she said the reaction could have been bad with the injected form. So, now I have to fight with him for 10 days to take the omnicef. And he gets to stay home another day with the 4 yr old and I. Gosh, no wonder my cold is getting worse and worse and this tension headache is killing me!
