I have never really taken them apple picking, except on their Kindergarden feild trips. But we used to visit this huge apple orchard that has a Christmas store, animals, pony rides, hayrides and other fun things. My husbands band is playing at some apple orchid on Sunday and we get to bring the whole family. I am so excited. We have skipped our apple orchard trips for the past couple years, mostly due to money issues. I am hoping we go back to the one I love this year too. We always get the donuts and cider.

We have went apple picking every year for the last 4 years. We kinda made it a little tradition. I sometimes use the apples to make pies or applebutter....YUM! I am living in a new place now so I am going to try to find the nearest orchard. I hate to break traditon.

I haven't because I don't think we have any apple orchards in our area. Alabama isn't really known for it's apples.

Yes, we kind of started a tradition of it too. The kids love it. It's a nice family thing to do. I will make apple pies, apple crisp, apple butter, and nothing like baked apples with pork chops.
