Tonight we have open house at the middle school where my dd goes and tomorrow will be open house at the elementary where 3 of my boys go. We got the supplies all packed in the backpacks and the kids are excited to meet their teachers and get a jump on the school year (starts Tuesday!)

It always amazes me how many parents do not go to these things. Isn't that just a part of parenthood to attend events like this? This is the first time in 3 years that I am not taking one of dd's friends with us because her parents did not want to.

we go tomorrow for the girls. I can see skipping depending on the circumstances. dd had the same teacher and kids for 1st ad 2nd grade. we would have skiiped the 2nd grade one, but other dd started K the same year so we went for her. this year both girls have new teachers. the teachers are also new to the school. also I work evenings and usually can't get off on short notice. we got our notice 3 days ago.

We always go every year, my kids started 3rd and 6th grade this year. We get pretty good attendance at our school.

We always go. My kids just love showing us around the school and we want them to know how proud of them we are.

Our schools have pretty good attendence at the school events.

Ours was this past Tues night and we didn't get to go. I really hated to miss it, sometimes though you can't help it. My dh's aunt passed away and we went to visitation that night.
