If you could pick a "career" for your husband what would it be?

I know some women go giddy over a man in a uniform...

I would love my dh to be a cowboy. Crazy I know, cause I have never been around a real cowboy.

Would yours be a fireman? a lawyer perhaps?

Mine would have a good paying job that was only Monday-Friday and was totally done by 5pm. I could not care less what he wears. He could go in his pajamas for all I care (actually my dh does frequently work in his jammies. He works from home 2 days a week)

Mine would work only 40 hrs a week.
However I kinda like the cowboy idea. Are we talking real job or fantasy?

Ok real job....a writer.....I know it would make him happy.

Fantasy Job....OH YAHHHHHHH COWBOY ALL THE WAY!!! I would love for us to run a ranch together. I saw Drew on a horse once and oh boy.....if he had had on wranglers and a cowboy hat it would have been heavenly.

as long as he is building things he is happy, currently he is a mechanical engineer. His hobby is restoring antique for engines.
I wouldn't care what he did. I would like no traveling, home by 4pm and half day fridays. we have pretty close to that.

Hmmmm ... my current husband would be really good in market research. He's a CPA but he's incredible with statistics.

My fantasy husband would be a successful tatoo artist. I wouldn't have any tatoos though. ha ha I'm just trying to think what is the opposite of an accountant.

I LOVE that dh is a pe teacher/athletic director/surf instructor/small business owner. I am so proud of him!

That said, I would love for him to figure out a way to be home by 5/6 every night or work a 4/10 week (maybe next year), he just has such a long commute (32 miles each way), even when he has an "early" day with games and such, he still has the commute home (usually home by 7). I have a friend in law school and would not want dh to be a lawyer, already her entire life is law. I also have a friend whose dh is an EMT, trying to be a fire fighter (it takes FOREVER before you qualify), he is gone at least 3 days./week, she sometimes feels like a single mom with two kids.

I wouldn't mind a little more money too

Well...my DH does wear a uniform (at least for a few days a month - which he looks GOOD in!!), and the rest of the time he's usually in boots, vests, jeans, and a cowboy hat, so he'll fit right in if we ever get to move to WY.

His idea of an ideal job would be to run a ranch (dressed up like a cowboy, of course) - which may happen one day - maybe even before he retires from the military.

MY idea of an ideal job for him would be...to run a ranch and dress like a cowboy too!! So, I guess we both win!!

But I don't really care what he wears. As long as we make enough money to get by.
