Yep, we wanted three kids and to be done by the time dh was 40. He was 39 when our last was born - 6 months prior to being 40.

When I was 19 I was told by a doctor it wasn't possible for me to have babies. I shared this with my DH before we got married and he said we could adopt but he wanted 8!! Anyway 9mo and 6 days after we got married we had a baby girl of our own. Then two terrible miscarriages and then two more babies biologicaly. The lesson learned from this is you CAN'T put God in a box. God has blessed us with two beautiful girls and one very stubborn son. However, our OB doctor said it isn't a good idea for us to have anymore. My body can't handle it.

We are hoping someday when we get to build our own home we can either become foster parents or adopt a child or two. I really wanted 4 children not the 8 my DH wants but we will take whatever God sends our way.

When Dh and I got married I didn't want any kids for 3 reasons 1) I wanted to wait a while and enjoy being married and get used to each other 2) I didn't want to be old parents. 3) I knew that I would probably have difficulty getting pregnant.

A couple of years into our marriage I felt like I wanted to have kids. Took us 2 years to conceive and lots of fertility stuff. When ds was born decided not to go on birth control - figured "hey it was hard to get pregnant, I'm nursing - it probably won't happen again w/o some kind of 'help' " yep, I quit nursing ds at 9 mo and within a month or so I was pregnant. Didn't realize it till I was at least 9 weeks along. So we were in shock. I wanted 2 but more like 30 months apart NOT 19!!

God knew what He was doing and I love my kids like crazy. I wouldn't change it for anything.

We don't have any yet, but we would like to have 2. We'll see what happens, we're talking about starting to try in a year or two.

Nope, I always only wanted 2, I had those 2 then I got divorced, then remarried to a man who didn't have any children, we decided to have 1, after her we were finished, didn't want/need/couldn't afford more than the 3 we had but then along came DS. He has been a great addition to our family and can't imagine life without him. I had a hysterectomy last year.

We didn't want any kids. We laugh about it now that we have 4.

Our first ds was a huge surprise, I was on the pill, everyone was shocked when we announced the pregnancy. I was on the mini pill when I got pregnant with #2, so our oldest 2 are 16 months apart. After #2 my dh and I talked about dh getting a vasectomy but my OB talked us out of it because we were young, 24 & 25. I'm glad we listened to her because we decided to try for a girl and got pregnant right away. Unfortunately my dh deployed so he missed the last few months of my pregnancy, the birth and the first 10 months of ds #3's life. When he got back from Iraq he asked if we could have 1 more since he missed the firsts for our ds.

Even though our family is not how we had planned I wouldn't change anything. I couldn't imagine not having 4 kids.

We always knew we wanted 2 children but we wanted to be married for 5 yrs before we started trying. Well it took us 16 yrs to get pregnant. We or I had began to accept that we weren't going to have children and then both my grandparents died 5 days apart from each other. In a prayer I asked my grandmother when she saw God to ask him to give me a child. Well miracles do happen and a month later we conceived our 1st child!! I was 37 yrs old at the time . We were thrilled to have our beautiful healthy daughter so I didn't even think we could have another. My husband said if we were to have another we had better try again so when our 1st daughter was 15 months old we started trying again and now we have 2 beautiful daughters 2yrs apart. The funny thing is that they both had the same due date. 1st DD went a week over and then I ended up having her be c-section so 2nd dd had to go a week early by c-section!
So yes we do have the family we planned but learned alot about patience and to trust God that he does have a plan for us!!!

kind of.. dh always wanted to 3 since every male on his side of the family had 2 boys and a girl in that order.. i just laughed at his theory that this is how ours would be as well.. well after 2 losses we re-evaluated and were just hopeing for one we ended up with ds then 2 1/2 years later had ds#2 after two high risk bedridden pregnancies i was done dh convienced me to try one more it just had to be a girl.. so i agreed and guess what it was a girl he still tells me to this day he was right lol...

i thought our family was complete until we had dd and now after her i know this is what was meant to be we are content with our family no regrets or wishes.

Yes and I feel incredibly lucky and blessed. They are a little closer together than planned (I was on the pill when we got pg with dd) but in the end it worked out perfectly. One boy. One girl. 22 months apart.
