not sure what to do about Dh! (Heck Its hard sinc eI didnt even get ahappy Mothers day from him ) but I will get hime something nice)

That's why I don't do anything for dh. I probably would, but he is very gift impaired and there have been several years where he couldn't even say "Happy Mother's Day". I do make sure he calls his mom.

We got a bread machine for Mother's Day and dh said it was a combined Father's Day gift, too since he will get fresh bread. He is so hard to get anything for because if he needs something he just buys it. His birthday is in July, so I try not to use up all my ideas on Father's Day. My dads and grandpa will get a card.

You're not his mother but you're raising his kids! What a thing to say!

Perhaps you should repay the favor and get him nothing, saying that he is not your father!

It bothers me when people say this. You aren't your dh's mother but he should thank you for being a good mom.

I so agree.

We got a boat on Mothers day so we decided that covers Mother's day, Fathers Day and our Birthdays...

For our dad, we are getting him a subscription for his favorite 4 x 4 magazine.
DH I will need to find a bottle of rum - we have had it before, but not seen it where we live, so Im going to need to do some sneaking around to get it when we drive up to see family next week, and it is his favorite and I owe him for such a thoughtful mothers day. However the gift is on behalf of our dd.
From "me" he does not expect anything expect maybe to sleep a little bit later on that day.

He didn't get me anything for mothers day because he said I'm not his mother. So I am still a little sore about that. So not sure what I'll do.
My husband said this to his mom once when she asked him what he was getting me. She did not find it funny. She even gets me a present for Mothers day.
It is hit or miss with my husband on Mothers day. I guess it all depends on our finances, and if he had a real busy week and couldn't get out. This year he spoiled me the whole weekend with little gifts, so I am trying to figure our something nice for him. A lot of times I get him a pair of pants in his size since he is so tall and skinny, it is hard to find his size. I don't think I will do that this year. I think I will buy his some Cool Water since it is his favorite, and he is too cheap to buy it. It is not really my favorite scent, but it is ok, so I will buy it.

DH is getting 2 video games he has been wanting from me, and a photo mug (from personalizationmall.com), and some "Daddy" themed childrens books from DD. (the books are for them to read together)

My dad wants some summer shorts so that was easy.
DH's dad we are not as close to so we'll just send a card.

My girls and I bought my dh cards, an athletic top and shorts set, a shirt, and a Daddy travel cup and picture frame from Hallmark that the girls get to decorate.
