Ive looked online and found a couple sites I like. I am looking for worksheets so that my son can trace the cursive writing so he knows where the loops, bumps and tails go.
I was very surprised to see he was learning cursive in the 2nd grade!

Anyone know of any good websites?

We ordered the Handwriting Without Tears at that age. It's a bit different in that it discourages the 'tracing' of letters but instead teaches the child how to remember which way things go in a fun way. This is our 3rd year using it and we love it here. (My ds has co-ordination issues so we have to work extra hard at hand writing). I love handwriting without tears! Handwriting Without Tears | A Complete Handwriting Curriculum for All Children

Just a heads up, you might want to check with your school to see what cursive handwriting method they are teaching........our schools teach "Deneilan(?sp)"

I noticed at Wal-Mart today, in the school/office supply section, they had wipe-off books for tracing and practicing cursive.

Handwriting Without Tears Cursive is an amazingly popular program. My kids liked it for printing, we are not to cursive yet but will use this when we hit 2nd grade.

Ds learned cursive in Montessori last summer during his summer lessons, he was 5! However, in some Montessori schools they are taught cursive before printing, believe it or not it is easier to do cursive than printing - handwriting wise.

Anyway, he still brings home sheets, but not worksheets from a computer. Mostly his teachers will write out a sheet themselves, sometimes they will make the letters dashes, so the children will write over the words, kind of a 'connect the dots'.

The 'spirograph' is also supposed to be excellent for getting handwriting strength for cursive, the kids don't even know they are practicing for cursive.

Here's a website I like: Basic Handwriting for Kids - Cursive - Sentences.

You may have to look around a bit to find what you like.
