She knows about me marrying at 16 and having her at 17. She knows about the stuff I did in high school.

Not because I am proud of what i did, but hopefully so she won't make the same mistakes and bad judgment calls, that I did.

I always tried to learn by my mistakes and that is what I tried to teach her. Also I tried to be a better mother than the one I had. Which I am pretty sure I was.

And I have to say at the age of 34, she didn't make any of the mistakes I made. Now she has a family of her own, and she always tells me that she hopes she has the same kind of relationship with her girls, that me and her have.

I was a perfect child so I have no problem talking to them about my past (I never smoked, tried drugs, or drank in high school....college yes). Dh was a problem teenager and hit some rough spots. We have talked about will he be honest to them if they ask certain questions. If the girls are old enough he will be honest is what we decided....if they are still too young he will dodge the questions.

ETA Dh did drugs, skipped school, snuck out, didn't graduate- NO, NO, NO!
