Question Are you comfortable talking to your kids about your past?

I pretty comfortable talking to my dd about my past. I'm very boring and haven't done anything too awful, so conversations about my past are relatively easy. However, there are a few embarassing moments (mostly due to my foot-in-mouth issue ) that I don't plan on sharing.

No way. There are things they will need to know, but I have no idea how to go about it. Luckily I have a few years before they will be old enough to understand.

Definately...there is nothing in my past that I couldn't tell my kids about.

They could probably know just about everything. I can't think of anything off hand that I would not tell them. There are things that I would never bring up, but if it came up I would tell them about it.

AT this point, the only questions they ask are centered around what Dh and i were like at their ages..7 and5. Now when they start asking questions about my late teen years and twenties, I probably won't share the details.

I have told them alot, trying to help them avoid making my mistakes. Premarital sex and where it gets you, that sort of thing. No drugs or alcohol in my past so nothing really bad. I do not tell them about the mischief I got into at school such as detentions, suspensions, that type of thing. I don't want them to think it's okay because I did it. When they are out of school and the 'danger zone' we can laugh about that then.
