Liamsmom- you sound like a parent's dream tutor if you'd be interested in that. Good pay, flexible hours and your experience in regular and SPED classes would certainly be a big plus IMHO... good luck down the road!

I absolutely plan on staying home. I want to be there before and after school, be available to volunteer and stay really involved in their school, and of course, cover summer vacation, all the no school days, sick days, doctor appoints, etc. I don't feel the least bit guilty about it. I think my days will be pretty full but look forward to having time to meet my friends for coffee or some shopping! There is so much I want to do and maybe I'll finally have the time.

I just wanted to let you know that I am going to Career Step online to work at home as a Medical Transcriptionist so that I can be there for my children. I only have 1 boy now that just turned 1 July 2. I can't imagine someone else taking care of him, or being there for him after school. Working at home is the option that we chose. Right now I have a small business that I get to take my son to now, but would love to be at home with him instead.

My DH is a SAHD and this is the decision we have made for him once all our kids are in school and neither of us feel guilty about it either!

I most likely will never work outside our home again.

I'm staying home.
I love the flexibility of being able to volunteer at DD's school, be there for her days off, get my other errands done without dragging her around, get household chores done so I can concentrate on her when she gets home. DD has so many after school activities, I'd be exhausted if I tried to work, too.
My biggest dream is I can start working out again while she is at school.

I plan on going back to school Something in the medical field but I'm not sure what yet. There are so many home health agencies around here and you make your own hours so I would just work while the kids were in school. I can't see myself staying home while they are all in school full time. I don't have to work but I think it will feel good to get out and do something different. Plus, it's more money to pay off bills and save for retirement

I will be staying home!
I may end up homeschooling. My dd is way ahead of Kindergarten and I feel she will be regressing when she starts Kindergarten in a few weeks. My main concern is her boredome and not reaching her potential.

My dd is going into 4th grade in a few weeks and I've been a SAHM since she was a baby. I was considering going back to work when dd went into K, but dh and I decided it would be less stressful for the family if I stayed home.
