If we do the Boot Camp again this year, this information will help me know what to focus on. Which steps did you like the best? Which ones did you learn most from? Was there one that you didn't want to do, but then were glad that you did? Any suggestions for improvement next time?

Having done both the full and the boot camp versions. I thought that the boot camp version was too short. At least it was very easy for me to fall behind. So maybe by giving steps that take a more time and thought an extra day or two would be really helpful. After all I am still working on the organizations steps and many before them.

The spending freeze was yet again the most helpful.

I would love to see what a 3 month program looks like. A happy inbetween with some wiggle room to catch up or if there is a topic we want to go deeper into.

My mom came for a visit right at the end, stuff comes up so I haven't even looked at the final challenges.

I'm very thankful that I had the chance to be a part of the bootcamp. I've learned a lot. I did fall behind a lot because my husband and I work full time and I wasn't able to complete all of the assignments. I did get to accomplish some though. It helped me to get better organized in everything.

I would like to see it last longer so that we could have an extra day on some of the assignments.

Thanks again!!

Does everyone else agree that 3 months is the best time frame? How often between, assignments - every 3-4 days?

Also, it seemed as if a lot of people fall off right after the spending freeze. Does anyone have any suggestions to keep people interested and motivated to continue after that?

3 months would be great. Assignments twice a week would be great. Maybe Wednesdays ans Saturdays.

I too like this program and this bootcamp went very fast and it is discouraging when you get behind. I did like that the steps were all in one place so you didn't have to hunt to find them.

I think the problem after the freeze is everyone runs back out to restock what they ate or used up instead of remembering what they learned during the freeze. Maybe we should talk of what to do before a restock, so participants don't feel like they failed and can't continue. Maybe even alternatives to things we feel we must have. I know we have talked about that but maybe spend more time on these two steps might help.

My favorite parts of the boot camp are first the spending freeze. I think we do learn from it and don't fall back to bad habits right away, and I love the challenge of it. And second, surprisingly, I've really enjoyed the gratitude journal. I've kept it up (except on weekends for some reason) and I think its become a fun part of my daily routine. This weekend I severely sprained my ankle and while I'll have some not-so-fun or planned for dr bills (ER visit) I had a lot to be thankful for...it wasn't broken, friends that have been bringing me meals, etc. I was excited to write those things down and not focus on the negatives, which would be all too easy.

The main thing that, as others have shared, has been most difficult, was having time to do the harder assignments. I think 3 months sounds great, with longer time in between the more time-consuming assignments.

3 mos. sounds great to me! Now my family will think I jumped off the 'weird end' of the pool. But they'll get over it! My fav part was the spending freeze. It was soo freeing to me to not shop. It was also a great excuse for the Gimme's my DH and kids are so famous for.

I agree. Maybe gear some of the work toward helping people set-up a budget and sticking to it instead of a total freeze. I love the assignments though!
