WEEK FOUR

By now, you should have accomplished:
• Have a holiday budget set
• Have a holiday expense spreadsheet completed
• Have gifts for out-of-towners purchased and mailed
• Have a plan for holiday cards and updated your mailing list
• Finish shopping for out-of-towners and mailed packages
• Wrap all the gifts you’ve purchased so far
• Have at least one homemade gift on your list

Catch Up!
If you need to catch up on the above list, this is a great week to do it. The real holiday crunch hasn’t quite hit yet, but it’s coming fast – so catch up now and you’ll be prepared when it does.

Mail Cards
Beat the rush by getting cards and packages in the mail in plenty of time.

Deck the Halls
Have you decorated the house for the holidays and trimmed the tree? Instead of spending money this season, use what you have already. If you have to buy lights this season, consider energy-efficient LED lights that will save you money in the long run. Also, use shrubs and greens from your backyard to create holiday centerpieces.

De-Stress Your Dress
Most of us have holiday functions to attend that require more formal attire. Sit down and list all the concerts, parties, religious services and other events that require you and your kids to dress up. Do you have everything you need, from ties down to tights and shoes? Make sure you have everything purchased, dry cleaned and ready to go well ahead of time.

Holiday Crafts with Kids
What do you like to do with your own kids? Try to fit in one craft or project with your kids this week. It could be making a gingerbread house, ornaments, or paper chains for the tree. It doesn’t have to be complicated -- the point is that you’re spending quality time together. Our Creative Side forum is packed with easy, inexpensive ideas.

Gift Status
If you aren’t there yet, make it a goal to have at least half of your purchases checked off your list (hopefully more) by this week. Check our Online Bargains forum for great deals for everyone on your list and shop in the comfort of your own home!

Check in HERE and let us know how you're doing!
