That darn Target!!! I had to go to get a bday gift for my dd friend (on the approved list), and it brought me down! I had been doing so well....only $100 on groceries and toiletries etc. I haven't even gone to get gas yet! So here I am and I am task oriented. I am getting ONE thing and I am out of there! I am only spending $10-$15.
Well, the toys are 75% off today and yesterday it began, so there was actually still an abundance left? I actually called my husband (who is out of the country on business in Mexico ) and he and I discussed all of the purchases at length. He kept saying, "I can't believe you went to Target! That is like an alcoholic going to the bar and saying pour me a drink!" Atleast he made me laugh right?
I only left spending $40 on the gift and other toys for my daughters birthday in the spring, but I still feel like crap for giving in to the temptation. I did pay with Xmas $$ I had that was earmarked for other things. Why does target have to tempt me so much and it was only $40 so why am I so guiltridden? I should have left and walked away, but then I would be guilty when I had to spend twice as much at birthday time.
It was such a dilemma!!!

Well, to quote Scarlett O'Hara, "Tomorrow is another day!" Just pick up where you left off.

I did the same at ToysRUs last night - returned something defective. They had one of those portable DVD players for $18.98! Right after I took one, a guy swooped in behind me and took the last 3!

I was doing ok with the "I wonder what is at Target?" until you said 75% off. Tomorrow is my once a week shopping day so I am hoping to stay away from the temptation. Ha, Ha. I am like a moth to the flame. I have three kids with b-days and a nephew all with-in a few weeks of each other. So maybe that should be my excuse to go. Can you tell Target is on my temptation list?

Oh my goodness. I sure didn't need to know that either. My twin niece and nephew's 3rd b-day is coming up...

The rationalizations have begun!

I am sorry to break the code of silece as to what was on sale at Target.....but look at it this way, by now its probably all gone. There were women there with multiple carts full of toys, so I bet they are all gone....atleast the good ones! Sorry, I didn't post wth the intention to temp others!!!! I don't want anybody to fall into the hands of Target like I did!!! I am still so mad I did, but you guys are right, "Tomarrow is another day!"

It looks like Target got a lot of us. Just jump back on the wagon with the rest of us that got shoved off!

Just keep telling yourself it is saving you money in the long run.
