That darn Target!!! I had to go to get a bday gift for my dd friend (on the approved list), and it brought me down! I had been doing so well....only $100 on groceries and toiletries etc. I haven't even gone to get gas yet! So here I am and I am task oriented. I am getting ONE thing and I am out of there! I am only spending $10-$15.
Well, the toys are 75% off today and yesterday it began, so there was actually still an abundance left? I actually called my husband (who is out of the country on business in Mexico ) and he and I discussed all of the purchases at length. He kept saying, "I can't believe you went to Target! That is like an alcoholic going to the bar and saying pour me a drink!" Atleast he made me laugh right?
I only left spending $40 on the gift and other toys for my daughters birthday in the spring, but I still feel like crap for giving in to the temptation. I did pay with Xmas $$ I had that was earmarked for other things. Why does target have to tempt me so much and it was only $40 so why am I so guiltridden? I should have left and walked away, but then I would be guilty when I had to spend twice as much at birthday time.
It was such a dilemma!!!
