Do you think western society (especially Americans) is too materialistic? What are your thoughts on the matter? Why do you think we are? What can people do to get caught up in the trap of consumerism?

I guess I don't think so as a whole society. I know some people who are materialistic and some who are not.

YES! As a society, we are incredibly materialistic! It was very obvious when I have been overseas.

YES!! I think "we" are. I say we as in society. Before the FTJ Project, I have to agree that i was onne of those... not that bad, though. I never considered myself materialistic until we did this project and realize all the "luxory" items that we live with and think they are "standard" in our everyday lives.
