I got a bunch of magazines in the magazine exchange area of our library for this. Do you know of any "free" sources of magazines? I also made computer printouts of several things. Yes, by all means use words too. I included some inspirational quotes and affirmation statements. It's really fun! My dd also has done this with me. It was fun to see the stuff she was dreaming about - some of it was "stuff" but not all.

You could use words. Or you can find pictures on your computer and print them out. Just google words like "Hawaii" or "BMW" or whatever it is you want to put on your board. Then what I did was made a little collage of pictures I saved (you can just use Microsoft Word for this) and then printed them out so I could cut them up that way. Or you can ask around some of your friends or maybe on freecycle and get magazines they're done with.

The library where I live sells used magazines that people donate for .25 or .50, they also have a pile of freebies! Check your library for this service.
