This is coming from Step #15 of FTJ's.

And I've come to another realization ... my dreams / goals are not very specific. Looking over every single one, I have 21 listed, and they're all a little on the vague side. This probaby says so much about me!

I evidently need to work a bit more on the dreams / goals. Sigh ... I'm never going to get caught up!

Is there anyone else noticing that their dreams / goals are not very specific? And if yours are, how did you go about making them so.

Mine are pretty specific. I think the more specific you can be, the more likely you are to achieve what you're after.

Coming up with a hundread of these yeah I have some that are very specific. I think though you can expand and use your steps as dreams. A general goal for me is to lead a healthy life style. But instead of using that I put Get enough sleep, loose weight, exercise daily, eat healthy and basically broke it down. I can easily focus of something more specific.

Mine are very specific.

I will exercise ___ X a week.
My goal is to weigh _____ or have a stomach measurement of ____ (whatever comes first).

I will invest $____ into retirement, $____ into the kids education fund, $____ into the car replacement fund (we buy used and pay cash), and $___ into the paying off the mortgage fund automatically each month.

I will make my bed, clean up after breakfast and tidy the house before getting on the computer in the morning. I will change the sheets every Monday, clean the bathrooms every Tuesday, vacuum and dust every Wednesday ...etc. (I have a plan so it gets done).

When the kids come home from school, I will drop work and focus on them. I won't try and save money by letting dh take them to the movies or out on a Saturday and me staying back. (We did this until FTJ) Spending time with my family is important to me so I'm going with them. Even if it costs more!
