Question Are you putting your actions where your priorities are?

When you did the goal exercise, did you find that some top priority goals had been taking a backseat to more urgent demands in your life? Are you starting to make time for some things that are important to you?

For me: I'm starting to make more time for exercise. That has been the biggest change in my routine. I'm trying to work out 3-4 times per week. I may even run a 5K this summer!

Yes I am working on my goals and it feels great too. I went over what I wanted to accomplish and dropped some things I was currently doing to make time for what I found was on my list. I am currently taking a Beth Moore Bible study at Church, I am volunteering once a month in the nursery. I took on a part-time job with great hours to work on our debt and some home improvement projects. I have also been doing more decluttering. It feels great to open a cupboard with out having to watch for falling stuff.

Once I get the hang of this. I am going to work on another goal or dream. I have noticed I am feeling better about me and life in general. Funny how that works.

This is such a great question.

My 4 main goals are ... I word them like they already are.

I am healthy and fit.

I am organized.

I am financially stable.

Spending quality time with my family and friends is important to me.

I have a plan in place for each of these goals. When a new opportunity comes into my life I ask myself, "Will this help me to be healthier, more organized, financially stable or will it enable me to spend time with my family or friends?" If the answer is yes, I do it. If no, I don't. It sure has helped prioritize my life!

Before I never had time for exercise. Now I make time.

Before I was more worried about what other people thought of me. Now I focus on my goals and not the thoughts of others.

Honestly not enough. But we had a death in the family this past week (my 89 year old grandmother) So its one of those times where you but your goals on hold and just do what needs to be done. So once the funerals over we can go back to focusing on our dreams and goal.

We have two main goals:

Manage our finances so that we will be debt free.
Spend quality time with our family.

I have found that we need to constently remind ourselves of these goals, and constently look at our actions weekly or else life's other urgencies always seem to be robbing from our goals. 3 weeks ago we were like YEAH!!, and now I noticed it has slid into the background. I think FTJ will be a process of forming and sustaining these new habits/actions into our daily lives.

I'm really sorry to hear about that! You're right, sometimes life hits you with something that causes you to put things on hold for awhile.
