So I am going through and creating my budget this morning and It has issues. Big Issues.

Anyone else in the position where they are trying to avoid mistakes and make the budget realistic so in having wiggle room and things like Entertainment/vacation items, new clothing, fun money, and gifts for family.

So the biggest issue is that we spend more then we make. Not a whole lot more some months we break even some months we don't. In the past year 6 months we have been in the red and 6 months in the black but the amount we have left over is very small

Anyone else feel that they are just making it. I feel like some times we need to make a drastic change yet at the same time we are very happy with our lifestyle

We are in the exact same position. We spend more every month than we bring in, so each month I have to not pay one bill to pay another. Then next month I have to not pay something else so I can pay what I didn't pay last month. I get so tired of trying to juggle everything! Our problem is that it is ALL bill payments, no fun/entertainment money at all. We have a LARGE truck payment, but we can't get rid of it b/c we owe more than it is worth. Until we can get that paid off, I really don't see how we will ever be able to keep our heads above water.

We have had the same problem. Now hopefully by next month we will have all our Dr bills paid. Once we pay off our car we will be great. I have seen alot of tips here that has helped us a great deal.

oh, thank you so much for someone coming forward to say that they are in the same position. I have been feeling that there isn't anyone out there in my position & it gets me down. Sometimes I just don't know where to start either!

Don't be too down! I've been dealing w/this for the past 2 years, and while it hasn't been easy, I'm still here to tell about it. I just keep looking towards the future, it can't stay bad for much longer right?!

I think this is Why I Try and Stay away From Budgeting!!

Yeah we can afford the set Bills Just Fine.....

BUT What is Left over almost always goes to Another Need that Month!!

If its Not The Propane Bill , Its th Car Needing 500.00 Worth of work...

If Its not a 50.00 Prescription cost , Its My Son Needing new Basketball shoes ....

IF we Dont' Have a Vet bill We have a eye Docter Bill

and it goes on and On...

It Is Just Life with Kids I Guess.
My Neighbor and i Were talking about it , and she only has One in School , two at home...
She can't Believe I Manage with 3 in school and 1 at home.
And Our Grocery bills are killing us!!

I don't see a Way To live Debt free AND save money with Kids .... I Just Dont' Get It ... Cause There is always something Here that Eats up our money!

That is our Problem anyway... and That is why I Gave up trying to Budget long ago...
I Just Watch what I Spend on NON necessary Items ... so We Have the $$ For the Unexpected.

I understand, I just keep on hoping!! After bills, groceries and gas, perscriptions and that we have about 100.00 left, that is all!!! URGh so that means that if we want anything extra or anything comes up I am in the red, it makes it hard to let go and do stuff becuase I feel like my checking is right around 20.00 every pay day. It has been 8 months since I overwithdrew my checking and that is GREAT for me, the good thing is that we have very little to no ccard debt, but we still can never get ahead urgh

We go through this 6 months of the year. The first 6 months, then things ease off, but that when we have to save for those first 6 months again. This year we have been caught of guard when eldest daughter with baby moved back home. She eats like two adults! Then the oil bills to heat the house at over $1. per litre is just killing us. It is very frustrating but I try and stay positive. We have a roof over our head ( no morgage )and there is food in the house( pantry is still in good condition). We have clothing on our backs and each other to keep us company.
As for the rest of things just pay what I can when I can and try and think of blessings.
