I am in! I love to declutter. LOL My mom is a huge pack rat, I mean path thru the house. So I constantly am getting rid of things and making our rooms spacious. I think I am making sure I am not my mother in that respect. My DH has fun with this, you know if there are papers on the counter, "Oh no guess your turning into your mother." I have a very good sense of humor and just smack him or something to shut him up.

I wish my mom would declutter, I have tried so many times to help her but she just builds it back up. I think somehow it is emotionally tied. Maybe I should try to get Dr Phil to help?!?

Anyway I can't wait so see what's to come!

I have been doing the flylady.net but I actually started de-cluttering before her last year..When a friend said it is not that you do not have enough boxes or stuff to put your stuff in, it is that you have too much stuff period. I purged cars full. I was ruthless in my kids room. Now it is easier to clean, and the days of me reorganizing their rooms for five hours is over. I even got rid of old baby clothes so they could bless someone else.. Either love it, use it , or go ahead and lose it (or give away.)

Less is Best. even easier to find, LOL

I'm in. I am new here. Long time reader, first time poster. We are moving in a few months, and although the new house is much bigger, I don't want to take unused/unloved stuff with us.

I'm in and ready to go. I have been working on decluttering by myself but the stuff I have gotten rid of seems to have come back.

Hi Kim - I'm new to FTJ but from what I've read about it, sounds like a great program! I'm in for the decluttering phase, especially since baby #2 will be arriving this October!

Thanks -

Decluttering seems like an on going process for me, so I'm definitely in! I can see where this may go hand in hand with the financial part- you learn what's important to you and stop bringing in the clutter!

So Thank you!

I'm working on that today because I'm on spring break. I took my kids to daycare and my DH is out of town for a few days. With the house to myself for the day I think I can get much of it done today.

I'm not one to keep STUFF so decluttering won't take long.
