ME!! I m in that situation... We have alot of things we need, and I am being serious here, we have 2 closets in the whole house! 1 in my bedroom and 1 in my daughters room. That leaves for a ton of mess...

I really am looking forward to doing this too! I am new to this website, but I like what I am seeing so far!!

I am so in!

We are SERIOUSLY decluttering right now because we are in the process of becoming foster parents, and we have to go through a homestudy. So, this is perfect timing.

We can't wait for a clutter-free home!

Im in, too!!

We've been decluterring, but like a previous post said... i can't really see any improvement. I still feel like we need to declutter even more! So im really looking forward to this step. We don't have a lot of stuff, but we do have several corners of the house that we de-clutter, and MYSTERIOUSLY ... IT ALL COMES BACK!! UGH!

I think I will join u ladies for this one. I completely agree with the vision for the space. I just figured out what I wanted in our basement after 13 years in this house. Once that happened I was able to make great strides. B4 that is was one failure after another. Of course I never sat still and asked those questions of what I wanted. We actually hired a professional organizer. she gave us the do it yourself version for our basement. we are BOTH on the same page for this first time in our marriage(regarding the basement). we have gotten rid of about 95% of the clutter in the basement in less than 5 months. FOr the first time in years both dh and myself feel like the weight of the house has been lifted from our shoulders.

One of the problems I have is that I DON'T have piles of stuff everywhere. My "clutter" is neatly organized and put away in an orderly fashion. But I do have way more stuff than I need/want. I have to determine what and why. I think the why is just so that I don't feel like I have STUFF filling every pore of my home. What is another issue entirely. For the most part, I have purged a lot in the past, mostly getting rid of really old stuff that we no longer use or care about. So now I am down to the stuff we DO care about. I have to find a way to let go of some of those things.
