This may sound funny to some people, but I would say poor. I do have a reason for my madness!
I grew up in a poor family. We had $25,000 to support a family of 7. We lived on a farm, raised our own cattle, chickens, and horses. My parents helped instill the value of working hard for you have and that money is not important. We camped alot for fun, we all shared our toys, we each had not only house chores but had to help feed animal, collect eggs, mow the lawn, well you get the point. I found that all of the things we HAD to do to live day to day gave us the integrety and insight into the "real world" we have today. We do not take things for granted, we work hard, we have respect for others and very high moral standards we live up to. I definately work harder at my life's goals because I know they will not just be handed to me! Many of my friends lived in town, some were wealth and some not. The wealthy kids did not have to work until they were out of college. Some of them have had a hard time adjusting to the "real world" and have ended up poor and living with their parents!
I am not trying to say that rich people do not have integrety or moral standards! Many of them do and that is how they have become rich!
I feel it is easier to grasp the trials of the world and live in the world when you have made it through hard times.
