Its funny, I didn't know then what I wanted to be. I went to school for Medical Technology, then Medical Assisting, then back to become a nurse. So I guess I wanted to help people. However, I didn't have much support as a child and didn't really know, I just knew I wanted to get out. Now, at 46, I still don't know what I want to be "when I grow up". I am a practicing nurse, but am I truely happy??? I don't think so. So I like this line of thinking, maybe someone will say something I hadn't thought of. As far as a mom, I knew I wanted kids... but never until my oldest was born, and my second adopted did I realize how much I would LOVE being a mom.

Ever since I can recall I wanted to be a journalist or writer of some sort. I am now a mama, wife, aspiring seamstress and writer for personal inspiration. I however have just started this year really digging into the idea of writing under an alias. I'm really considering several short stories. I'm also been offered some article slots in some online newsletters as well as some magazines. I just couldn't commit then as I was a newly wed or a newborn baby mama. So now I'm reaching for the stars!!

I always wanted to be an archeologist off finding some great treasure in another country!!! Still find it interesting!!! The National Geographic magazines laying around the house when I was growing up were so interesting to me.

Ha! Not necessarily! I wanted to move to NYC and be a writer. I was very antimarriage and antikids. I used to agree with the animals that ate their young. I wanted to live alone and have cats and be a spinster! Now I'm married with kids and can't have cats because one of the monsters is highly allergic. Oh and I have writer's block like you wouldn't believe.

My Best Friend and I were going to grow up and become Archetechs
Didn't happen.
I had my Brodway musical Phase even went so far to look into musical theater college programs.
Wanted to get into computers didn't have the grades and got an BS in Material Sience Engineering
Never found a job in my field Setteled for data Entry
THRILLED to quit my job for the best one ever being my little girls mommy
Toyed with the idea of my own business Serriously considering my Masters in teaching so I would have the same hours as my kids
Still I am undecided maybe I will go back to school and become and Archetech

I wanted to be an historian, something in politics or President of the US. Yep, I had big aspirations. I went to college as a poli. sci. major and came out as one, too, but I added econ with it.
I can honestly say when I was younger I did NOT want to be a wife or mother. Times have changed!

I wanted to be a vet -- until 9th grade Biology when I barfed during the dissection unit . . . . Not headed for a career in surgery! I also wanted to write and illustrate books for children.
Then, I entertained a career in Photography -- I'd won some photo contests, but I wasn't sure how to make a living with this interest. The areas I saw as photo jobs didn't really interest me.
I headed to college to be a Special Ed teacher -- came out as an Art Ed major. My mom really wanted me to go into graphic arts -- design and layout. I still have an interest in this.
Now, when I was in elementary/middle school my two friends and I were going to buy a ranch in Montana or Wyoming. We drew many plans for our ranch -- with a bunkhouse, barns, a pool, a huge house with a wraparound porch and rocking chairs. We even determined how many horses, dogs, cattle, chickens, etc. we would house!
