I wanted to be a fashion designer!
I had great plans... even had a scholarship to a great design school.

I NEVER wanted to get married and HATED kids!

Then I met my husband after I finished Highschool and my dreams changed. All of the sudden I wanted to get married and the thought of having kids wasn't so crazy anymore!

I never went to college.
I got married at 19 to a wonderful man.
Gave birth to his daughter at 21.
Will give birth to his son before I turn 23.

We will have been married for 3 years tomorrow and I am happier than I ever thought I could be. Being a mom is the greatest job out there and I would never change the life I chose for what I had "planned to do".

"In jr high, I wanted to be an interior designer....which is really funny to think about because it took me 7 years to paint any of the walls in my house anything other than white. "

This is so funny, because that could be me! I have wanted to be many things in life, from a teacher to special ed children (I used to babysit for several families that had special needs children and I guess I had a knack for it because they passed my name around) but then realized I was too emotionally sensitive for the job, so then I wanted to be an interior designer, but again, too emotionally sensitive and when it occurred to me that someone may not LOVE your work, I decided I didn't want to deal with rejection (this is so funny to me now, since before being a SAHM I had a very successful career in sales), so then I went on to want to be a family or marriage counselor (I have no idea now why this appealed to me, go figure) and of course now I realize that I am doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing and I have never felt more fulfilled!

I wanted to be a vet and I still LOVE animals today. But somehow I ended up a teacher. ( I do love children!) I was alsways really bad in math and didn't have the confidence to pursue it.

I wanted to be a lawyer or in health care. I have been in health care and still trying to get back to school to be a lawyer. I thought I would have achieved more by now.

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be an artist or veterinarian. I didn't think I could euthanize animals, though. Wound up becoming an accountant instead.

When I was a young girl, I wanted to marry a farmer and live on a farm. Then I came to my senses (so I thought) and wanted to be a teacher. Now I want to live on a farm and have several horses.

In real life, I'm a single mom living and working in the city. I just dream about living in the country.

I never really thought about having kids or marrying.

I always wanted to be a Lawyer!

But funny how all of that changes. I finally got my business degree at the age of 48.
