What kinds of things did you daydream about when you were younger? What did you fantasize about when you were a child, or even as a young adult?

I had a good imagination and still do. I used to think my back yard was a secret enchanted forest and I could escape all the terrible things in the real world when going there. My childhood wasn't a good one so I spent a lot of time imagining myself in other places.
My grandmother told me when I had my baby that she remembers me always playing mommy and that I had always wanted to have children. I do not remember that, but I believe her. For a job I always wanted to be a scientist of some kind.

As a young girl, I would daydream forever about being married and having babies, etc. Now, I daydream about having a bigger, newer house, which I am probably not ever going to get. But I can dream!

I dreamed about having a horse, and I always asked for one for Christmas. I picked my college because it had Horsemanship for PE credits, and I have taken lessons for many years. Now that I know how much WORK goes into actually owning a horse, I am happy just taking lessons. However, if we ever had enough land, I would take in old horses just to give them a home.
I also dreamed about having a dog that would fit in my hand. When I was in third grade, I read a book about a boy who had such a tiny dog that he was able to make a ball out of a pencil eraser. He made other things for the dog too, like a house and a bed, but the eraser stuck with me . . . . So, my dog? She weighs 87 lbs. and takes up half of the living room when she lays down!
I also wanted a VW Beetle. This might be the most feasible of all my dreams!

Hula girls. I remember being totally fixated on Hula girls when I was 9 or so. My birthday cake that year had plastic palm trees & hula girls on it. Still haven't been to Hawaii.... And, oddly enough, when my dance studio started offering hula lessons, I didn't take them because I was afraid of the flaming batons.

I was always dreaming of being a ballerina. I danced for 15 years and taught for four years. I hope to at least get back into it for fun. I always dreamed of being on Broadway.

I always wanted to decorate and design my own home. Serriously I have little pencile sketches of my dream house of the 3rd grade. My parents went house shopping for years as a kid I thought they would never actually find what they wanted.
In high school I wanted to sing on Broadway or in the opera
I dreamed of being able to play the piano (yes I have some skill but not the time to practice for some reason my two year old wants to help play)
Now I just dream about being able to do something creative when I do go back to work and of having more kids and designing or at least remodeling my own larger home.

Mainly family and career. It changed as I got older, but I always had a plan of going to college, getting married to a college sweetheart, having two or three children (they were awesome at their sport(s) of choice) living in suburbia (didn't care where as long as it was warm), being happy, healthy and successful.
I wanted to be a veterinarian, a nurse until I realized women could be doctors, an interior decorator, a kindergarten teacher, a business owner - different things depending on my hobby at the time.
I'm sure I dreamed about more, but I am being distracted by my high energy children right now

I always wanted a large family - we have only one child and he will be it.
I also always wanted to travel more - someday I hope we can afford an RV and travel across the country. I used to go with my grandparents when I was a child and I would like to do the same for our son.
Fantasized about being a writer and photographer, sometimes a scientist.
