Thankfully, we've never been that way. Times were tight when we were newly married, but never pay check to pay check. The military definitely helped us be financially responsible.

I am very grateful that we don't have to live paycheck to paycheck as I don't think I could handle the stress of it. We are not financially wealthy by any means but compared to what many families are going through right now, we are very blessed.

Same thing, we aren't wealthy with money but we always have money left over each week so we aren't worrying about when next weeks check is gonna come. My DH sees a lot of this with his employees and he tells them put some aside or go without so you have some backup.

To me, this would mean that you are getting ahead, even if it's to reduce debt first and then add to savings later. You are spending less than you make, you don't need your entire income to survive each month and just meet the minimum on your bills.

Right now we are because I am staying home. We aren't adding to our debt, but it's going down slower than I would like. I look forward to when I have school age kids and can go back to work and finally get ahead.

We are paycheck to paycheck now because of our extraordinary circumstances.

We aren't paycheck to paycheck, we are slowly getting ahead. That may all change though in a couple months when we buy our house. I hope not, but I don't know.

We just started living paycheck to paycheck. I have done it in the past but it's seems harder when you haven't had to do it for a very long time. I stopped working in Jan and we have been doing pretty good. Then all the sudden the child support stopped and a few other things have come up. This will be the third month with no child support and it's taking it's toll. I'm not sure when or if it will start back up. What makes me upset about it is the fact that my Ex new it was going to stop for a little bit and didn't let me know.

We are definitely going under right now. I lost my job at the end of January, dh lost his job the end of July. Unemployment is about $1000 short of what we need to pay all of our basic bills. My unemployment is almost depleted. Fortunately before he lost his job, I was working on paying down some of the debt and had made the last payment on one credit card just before he lost his job. We only have 1 card left with about $1200 owed on it. It is for car repairs only. When he lost his job, I knew we would be fine for about 2 months, the end of that first month is drawing near. At the end of September, I don't know what we will do if one or both of us do not have a job.
