I just found this whole project today... I will start the freeze. Boy, am I scared with 1 husband, 2 teenage boys, 1 preteen girl and a 6 year old girl! (Did I mention we have 1 dog and 2 cats also?!)

Our budget is just not working for us and we fail miserably every time we try to fix our financial situation. I'll try anything! Wish me luck!

I am so glad we found this project - it is just the thing needed to inject life into our budgeting! DH and I worked on our Approved Spending list this morning, and we'll try to finish it up tonight by including the groceries we will need to go the 21 days. We just had a baby 5 weeks ago, so of course formula and diapers are on the list, as well as a few doctor's appts. for various family members that were already scheduled. It really has us questioning what we consider a want vs. a need already, though, and that is a great thing!

Thanks for posting this challenge!

I am going to try to be on board for this. A little worried about the 21 day spending freeze. I have been trying to use up the stuff that we have (food wise) so there really is not that much there...I will try my best to stretch it!

This is going to be pretty hard to stick to but I am sure we will be able to hang in there. I just have to keep practicing saying, "No."

Okay, we've been pretty much on a spending freeze as it is! We're trying to save as much as possible with another baby on the way! Off to make my list

I'm new to Mommysavers and I found the Forget the Joneses project.....what a great idea. I started the spending freeze and so far it's been and enlightening project for myself and my family. I've got 2 weeks to go and I think that when it's finished it will impact how I spend from now on.

Thanks so much!
