I know it is not a big deal to you guys, but it is to me and if I say it I can admit it, hopefully feel better and move on.
We got Chinese takeout last night. Totally NOT in the spending freeze. But, it is one mistake and I need to admit it and move on.
I had all these grand plans on using some peppers and ground turkey to make stuffed peppers yesterday afternoon. I really need to go grocery shopping and am down to the harder to use items that take a bit of time in preparation, if you know what I mean. No big deal normally.
Here is my excuse, for what it is worth! A friend who moved to Georgia called and they were in town and had some free time yesterday afternoon so she and her girls came over the play and talk. So, I didn't get my peppers made - or grocery shopping done. She left to meet her dinner date at 6:00, the kids were hungry, I was tired and I had a momentary oops moment. I at least had a coupon and got it for cheaper than I normally do based on what we bought.
So, today is another day!!!

We all slip! Right now my husband wants to go to the movie tomorrow -- but he's had such a rough week at work (his boss, that he really liked, was fired) that I may just agree. Sometimes keeping your sanity counts for something too. But I told him that we couldn't buy any popcorn or drinks at the stand!

One better I have a Scanner Why not just have everything on your computer and no mess. I have a finaciance file on my computer has a ton of stuff and supplements the paper copies in my file box that is orgainzed the same way.
I here you though on still having wants my family goes out for coffee every tuesday. Its something we do as a family that we look forward to every week and yes while it does cost close to $400 a year it is a simple pleasure that we won't give up. However we are cutting back going to a tea or a drip coffee instead of a latte. So it will save us a little even though it is technically a want

Don't worry Claire. I"m having some hard times here too. So far, I've spent $10 out to eat, $5.25 at the movies, and $4.00 for some yarn and knitting needles. I know none of it's on the spending freeze approved list.....and sadly, i feel HORRIBLE about it now. I'm not going to justify it with an excuse, I just did it, even though I knew i didn't need any of it.
I will continue to try to work on it, hopefully with more success every day and every challenge.

I had been planning for weeks to go to Sephora to check out the Bare Minerals line once our Christmas company had left. I hated how I looked in pictures this holiday so another one of my projects is to work on myself. One of my first steps, along with better diet and other things was a new and more natural make up. So I went and I spent money BUT I feel better and i think I look good. That's important too right? So I kind of put that on my allowable list even though it isn't an absolute nessecity. Or is it?
