I have had some setbacks as well. What I thought was going to be an inexpensive month has turned into an expensive one. Ds had to go to the eye doctor, and that alone is a $55 with the co-pay and this 'refraction fee' that insurance will not cover.
We are also re-doing ds room, and wanted to buy paint, blinds (on clearance but not on sale) and a bedside table (from a 'previously used corporate furniture place') for a fraction of what it would have cost retail. It is like brand new, but we still didn't plan for it but bought it.
I am also running out of my stockpiled frozen food (homemade) so once I start That up it is going to be even more expensive. Gas prices are killing us, both for cars and heat! Our last heating bill was over $300. So yes we are slipping behind as far as savings go.
I'm contemplating another spending freeze when our visa billing period is over.
