Tell us about yourself! What do you hope to accomplish during this round of FTJ? What do you hope to get out of it? (For new members, check out this link to learn more about FTJ About our FTJ Summer Boot Camp)

I'm Kim, and I'll be your FTJ "tour guide" this summer. I've lead the FTJ programs twice before and I've always learned a lot from them, especially during the spending freeze stage. It always amazes me how mindless some of my spending can be and how the spending freeze can get me right back on that frugal bandwagon.

This summer, I hope to get clear on certain goals that I have and why they're important to me. I'm looking forward to setting concrete, clearly-defined goals. I hope to get a little bit better sense of things I want to accomplish and see what I can "check off my list" without spending too much (or anything at all!). I look forward to helping you all along!

I'm in! The last round got us to tighten up our belts and we were doing much better. Once our savings got to $10,000 we got loose with our money. This week has been a major wake up call. I was rear ended and hit into another car. We are purchasing a new minivan tomorrow. What if this happened to dh's car? We would get close to nothing for his because it is 6 years old. We don't have a down payment for it. I want to focus on getting a down payment plan for him just in case we need it and really need to focus on getting savings to Suze Orman's idea of 8 months.

Can't wait to get started!

Hello! I'm Jessica. I did FTJ in January and loved it. We got off track a little-payed off the credit cards and then had to use them for an emergency. I'm hoping this will help me set a budget and pay off our cards again. Then to make a savings. Hopefully DH will be on board just as much as I am.

I am on board. I just missed FTJ last winter and have been waiting for my chance to jump on board. I have never had a budget really set because our income flucuates (?spelling) so much with our jobs but really want to get ahold of our money. Tired of living out of my change jar!!! And work on getting out of debt. I am so excited to get to start up with FTJ!

I'm Susie and I'm grateful to be back for another round of FTJ. My goal is to refocus and keep summer spending under control, especially with the kids being out of school.

Love the winter assignments and looking forward to the summer round!

Im in, Ive gotten rather careless this last year with our spending and have made some seriously stupid decisions with our finances. I need to get us back onto track and in the right direction again.

I'm in. I have been really good at saving, fixing our debt, and being a frugal shopper (going to Aldi's and thrift stores). I never did FTJ and I think it will help me in the areas I may be lacking in.

I'm in too! Did it last winter and it helped us tremendously. Our family owned business is really suffering so this is really not an option! College tuition is due in 7 weeks!

I'm in too. I started the FTJ in January but life hit us with several major curveballs and I was not able to do all of it. We need to really take a hard look at our lifestyle and get a plan in place to start paying off debt and really look at our spending habits that have gotten out of control.

Count me in! I'm new to MommySavers but am already loving all the ideas and tips I've gotten, so I'm excited to see what else I can learn

DH was laid off so it hit home that our income is not something we should be counting on. While I think we are good with our money and don't spend a lot on unnecessary items, and don't have much debt beyond our home, I would also love to see a ton more in savings and have a more active approach in preparing for emergencies, for our children's college funds, for family vacations once both kids are older, etc. So my goal for this challenge would be to come away with a tighter belt and more frugal approach to everything so we can increase our savings.
