Question Are there things specifically that you are giving up for the freeze?

ICStarrs brought up a good point, what are you NOT going to spend $ on this week?

I won't go to Starbucks.
Won't take the kids for treats.
Won't run to Target or CVS, just because, you know the trip where you are only going to grab one thing and come out $50 later?

What aren't you going to spend money on?

Fast Food For sure, I won't hit the mall won't even look, Eating out.

Food is really my biggest vice. My house gets hot and I stop cooking, We get busy and stop cooking.

This last week was bad I would say 11 meals out. Abnormal week but really cooking would have saved big.

We generally go out about 1x a week, so we won't be doing that.

Also, only necessities at the store. With these two changes, we should be able to meet our grocery and eating out budgets this month.

"SNICKER BAR'S" I won't buy one at work at all. I have gotten into the habit of buying at least on snicker bar a day when I am at work. That is 96 cents each day, 6 days' a week.

I will not be buying a fountain Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, once or twice a day. $.85 each, usually twice a day. $1.60 a day...7 days a week. This will be the hardest thing for me.

Online shopping will be second.....But I got laid off last week so I have to stop anyway - figured this would be a good kick in the butt to make sure I stop!

No special treats for the kids. They probably won't even notice. I'll be able to spend extra time with them since I'm home anyway.

We are giving up eating fast food. Also going shopping just to go shopping, will be going to the library and the park instead when we want to get out of the house.

My main thing is Starbucks. I usually go at least 4 times a week. We have already given up going out to eat for the month, so we will just keep on with that. It's not been as hard as I thought it would be.

We will be giving up going grocery shopping just because it's that time of the week again. We are going to get creative with the food we already have in our pantry and make some (probably interesting) meals from those.

DH is going to give up fast food 3x/week. No eating out at all for the family or spending money on entertainment this week (even for Father's Day this weekend). Free fun only!

No more eating out more than once a week
no more cookies at work out of the cafe
Buy food to take to work instead of getting from the cafe.
Just not spending money and things we don't need.

I had a waxing appointment Wednesday, but I'm going to stretch it to next Monday. The weather up hear isn't as nice as it's been lately anyway, so waiting a few days will be fine since I wont be in the swim suit anyway! I never eat out, but I have a date Saturday, and I need to at least offer to pay
I'm also planning on bringing back two of the three cable boxes we have right now, should save $40/month, and I dont even use them.
