Interesting artical. Interesting that it stemmed into a miniumim wage debate with all the comments.
Personally I feel that money can't buy happiness true. Still it is a necessary evil. Is it possible to even survive without it. Only on others chairity.
Now we are in the process of over extending ourself with a larger Mortgage. Why? For more space and a better community. A home that will in the long run be a better investment then where we are now.
I think there comes a point where money won't buy you any additional happiness. But for those where every penny is needed to make the budget work any additional funds are certianlly a blessing. I look at what 10K would mean for my family. It would mean that we would have no worries about affording the additional payment, that we would have move to save and build up our finacial security. Once we have more finacial security then we can start doing some of the things we dream of doing. Not that we are going to be unhappy without more money. Really money affects your stess level more then anything else.
