So my plan in preparation for July is to freeze some cooked dishes but I was also thinking of preparing some meals uncooked and then freeze. I understand that uncooked meals can not made with previously frozen meat so any batches I make with uncooked meat will have to be assembled and frozen super close to the date of purchase.

Anyone else prepare uncooked frozen meals? If yes, what are your fav recipes for this?

Burn the good candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion...Today IS special.

Most of the freezer meals I assemble are uncooked - I prefer the taste of most of them to the ones that are cooked before freezing. When the bulk packs of pork chops or chicken breasts are on sale I buy them and assemble the meals the next day. Our fave is a pork tenderloin with pears - I can't post the recipe right now because I loaned my fave freezer cookbook to a neighbor. I also very often freeze raw meats in a marinade, so that when they are thawing they are also marinating. Check to see if your library has the Dream Dinners cookbook - most of those meals are frozen uncooked.

I mix up batches of meatloaf and freeze them uncooked. I also mix up batches of chicken pot pie with precooked shredded chicken. I haven't tried anything else except some freezer beef burritos that the kids like. Want to try some other recipes though.

I make tons of stuff to go into the freezer uncooked. I make meatballs, meatloaves, salisbury steaks, breaded chicken tenders and filets. I also freeze my boneless chicken breasts and flank steaks with their marinade. I love that they marinate while they defrost. I think that the flavor gets into the meat better this way. I also assemble casseroles and freeze them before cooking. Having things ready like this is a huge time and money saver for us.
