Wanna start a Thanksgiving & Chritmas thread...

I will be hosting our Christmas party this year and will need to do as much of the cooking and baking ahead of time as possible! Also, since Thanksgiving is close to Christmas I thought some ideas would help both celebrations.

So please post your favorite recipes for appetizers, dishes and baked goods. Also if you could include just how far in advance something can be made and how to prep for cooking once the big day arrives.
