You're right, M2M. I won't make that mistake again.
I chopped up way too many potatoes, carrots and onions to put into the crock with a roast, so I added what I could fit in there and then divided what was left into 2 freezer bags and froze them uncooked - thinking it would save me some time later for the next roast. WRONG!! The potatoes did come out brown/black, so I ended up wasting a few potatoes total, but I cooked the carrots and onions and they were fine.
Thanks for this post. I was just about to ask about this.
I wondered if there was some way that I could freeze raw potatoes - maybe add some lemon juice-water to them??
Or is there just no good way to freeze them raw?
Bummer. I thought I was being smart and saving myself some time!! lol
