A few tips that I am thinking of is to make sure that the noodles are a little firmer than usual since it will cook softer when you warm it up...and I agree about using more sauce. I actually try to have some on hand to pour over the pasta dish when I heat it up. The noodles will always loose a little of it's consistancy when frozen.

Yes, it's a great way to stock up! I have even bought a ham or small chicken and cooked it to cut up and freeze for lunch meats. This seems less expensive in the long run. You can flavor the meats in the individual ziploc bags for variety...

Right now in my freezer I have.......

-chicken pot pie
-chicken casserole
-premade burgers
-marinated pork tenderloin
-broccoli and bacon souffle
-small bags of fresh diced tomatoes from the garden to use in chili and such
-stuffed banana peppers

Also, my hubby doesn't like leftovers so I try to freeze individual portions of them and then I have a good assortment of "frozen dinners" for my lunches.

I have garden burgers, corndogs, ice cream and some burritos oh and a big bag of shredded mozz cheese.

I make huge batches of whole wheat pancakes. Then I can pop them in the toaster in the mornings for a quick breatfast for the girls.

I also make large batches of muffins. That's another easy breakfast or snack.

I've kind of gotten out the habit of making frozen dinners. My husband has given up pasta/bread, so that limits what I could have frozen on hand.

My freezer is relatively bare right now. However I did just make up 10# of hamburger yesterday. I made meatloaf muffins, a full sized meatloaf, bacon burgers, tater tot casserole, taco meat, and some browned burger that we can throw in something later. I also have a marinated pork roast and some pork chops, diced cooked ham to throw in soups, casseroles, or just eat, cheese, french fries, and tons of veggies. Tomorrow will be another cooking day for me and I have about 10# of chicken to marinate or cook and cube, I'll make some macaroni and cheese, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, twice baked potatoes, some pizzas, omelet muffins, and who knows what else. Oh, grapes are on sale this week for .68/# so I have some in the freezer now and I'll get more tomorrow. I think that's if for now. I usually have much more but we've eaten a lot of it up and not replaced it over the hot summer.

Ham and Beans (lots of that),
Homemade hot pockets for dh to take for lunch.
Chicken CorDon Bleu (prepackaged - got cheap)
leftover casserole,
frozen pizzas
cookies,
Amish Friendship Bread Starters
On cool days I try to cook a whole bunch so that on the hot summer days I don't have to cook or when I am too frazzled

My freezer is looking pretty empty so I should get busy.

I should say that my DH's family are farmers and have cattle so a couple of times a yr we get together and package the meat - we get it back from the butcher in quarters. So we get free Hamburger, Roasts, steaks and stuff which really helps with our grocery bill!
Do those Amish Friendship Bread Starters freeze well?
