I'd like to make some meatballs and freeze them. Should I fully cook them first, just brown them, or freeze them raw?

I always cook them first, so all I have to do is reheat. I've never had any problem w/ them being too dry

I always cook mine too. They're never dry. I put them on a cookie sheet or tray and then when they're frozen solid, put them in a freezer bag.

I freeze mine raw and then just thaw and drop in spaghetti sauce as normal...you can do it either way.

I also do my meatloaves and salisbury steaks raw.

I love making meatballs in advance. When I had the teenage boys living with me, I would buy a huge pack of meat and cook them all up as meatballs and freeze them. The boys always thought it was heaven when I made anything with beef -- sometimes, I miss the boys!

I still do it, now that it is just our family, but I need to start making the packages smaller.

I always browned mine and then froze them in tin foil and a zip lock storage bag.

This is an excellent idea! I don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner!
