Once in the past I made some stew in my 4qt crockpot. And oh boy, that recipe made a lot! The crockpot was full, I mean to the very top. Needless to say we had a lot left over after dinner that night.

So I just want to ask, is stew something that could be a freezable meal?? It was good stew, but I don't think we'd want to be eating it over a few days.

Stew freezes fine for us. I just freeze it in single serving containers so it's easy to have for lunch, either at home or work. You could also freeze it flat in a large freezer bag.

Stew freezes great. I freeze my chili and my super chunky beef stew in individual servings in sandwich bags and then in freezer bags. It's a great freezer meal for me.

I make mine in the crockpot and then put it in topperware or ziplock bags/bowls. It does well for 2- 3 months
