** Not sure where to put this so move it if need be **

I have kept a slop bucket for some time. When cleaning out my freezer I found one probably from April - just normal veggies - do you think they would still be good?

I could use it probably later this week.

~ a slop buckets is a bucket you place all your leftover veggies in, place it in the freezer, and then use the mixture in soups, stews, etc...~

LOL Okay, let me tell you....I have things in the bottom of my freezer from YEARS ago!!!! I made delicious chicken pot pies a few few weeks ago from pie crusts that expired in 2000!!!! I say try it....it definitely can't hurt you, and it would be a shame to waste it.

I'm the same way. I have stuff from 4 years ago that I still use. I think it'll be fine.

LOL! that's funny, I grew up on a farm and a slop bucket was full of all the peels and leftovers, and it all went to the hogs.I know yours is just leftovers, right? Is yours just a mix of leftover veggies and fruits? I know that Italians have a dish that they make which is just all scraps of leftovers that are saved throught the week. I would go ahead and use it.

I've heard of it but never done it. It would really save throwing out those odd and ends and help with left overs
