My mother always froze bread but I haven't gotten into that habit. I'm always worried that the bread will be soggy when it thaws. I'll have to try it though since it seems like the majority of you have had success with it.

We freeze both bread and flour tortillas. We always double wrap both with an extra plastic bag.

I thaw both on the counter. I rotate the bread loaf and turn the pack of tortillas during thawing.

Both come out fine. The only problem I have with freezing bread is if the bread loaf sits right next to the freezer wall. Then it is "soggy".

I haven't had luck freezing corn tortillas though. They always fall apart.
