What are your frugal tips having to do with topics starting with letter A?
Here are some ideas: Aldi, apples, artichokes, auto loans, appliances, antiques, and so on. Let's see what you can think of!

attitude - get in the right mindset for saving and not spending

allowance - teach your kids at an early age how to handle money

affordablility - know your limits and don't go over

association - hang with people who are in the same mindset of saving money. If you go out with soenders it makes it hard to keep to your limits.

Auto Insurance - combine multiple cars and or your house onto one pollicy to get a discount

AAA - join triple A to get discounts when traveling and on roadside assistance

Aprons - I know this sounds funny, but use them to protect your clothes - then you don't have to use money on trying to get stains out or rebuy them.

Another one is ...

accountability - be responsible for every cent you spend. Keep a journal if you have to to learn your spending habits and then adjust from there.

I know Kim mentioned appliances, but I thought I would say you can buy energy saver appliances

appliances - only run them at night, dishwasher, washer and dryer

Oh, air conditioners - run them a few degrees higher than you think you actually need them so if you would normally run it at 70 degrees try 73 or 74. and only run it while you are at home - no need to cool a house you are not in. Many have timers on them so you can set it to turn on an hour before you get home. Turn them off at night and open the windows and turn on a fan.

Act...to control your debt, rather than letting it control you.
