-Great deals on paper plates, cups, napkins, cleaning supplies, birthday supplies, books, coloring books, workbooks, cards, and food.

Dollar General

-Look for bargains here as well, plus they take coupons.

Daycare

-Inhome daycare is usually cheaper than centers.
-If you can at work take advantage of Dependent Care Accounts where you can deduct money pretaxed.

Dating

-Go to matinees instead...they are cheaper than movies in the evening.
-Go on walks.
-Rent a movie.

Detergent -- Make your own! I've been making mine for about a year now for the same money I used to spend in a month! There are lots of great detergent recipes out there!

Use an at home kit that works well for your hair type instead of going to a salon to get it done.

Drinks -

For Juice for DS I water it down. He doesn't get as much sugar and the container lasts longer.
For coffee drinkers (not me!) I've heard of people using the coffee grounds more than once or using milk & sugar instead of a creamer.
Cutting out pop will cut out costs!! BUT if you can't. I know some people who have switched to 2 Liters because they can find them cheap & there is less waste! OR try generic! Some people swear by it!
Try frozen juice concentrate!
Drink Tap water instead of bottled! (Desani & Aquafina ARE tap water, just bottled!)
Try generic Kool Aide instead of name brand.

Desserts

-When eating out don't order a dessert. They are expensive.
-Or you do the flip side and cook at home and go out to eat for ice cream as a treat.
-Make your own at home from scratch.

Dancing

-Free entertainment that the kids will love because they don't care if you look silly....turn up the music and dance around.
-If you want your child in a professional dance class shop around for what meets your needs. Many places are overly competitive and not a good fit for every child.
-Look for used dance outfits and shoes.
-Dance recitals....film it yourself so you don't have to buy the dvd.
