Gloves

-Keep a box in the closet for winter gloves/hats/mittens so you have them in one spot for the next year. How many loan gloves do you have floating around without their match?
-Use older gloves to dust venetian blinds with.

grass clippings, leave them on the lawn top act as fertilizer. no need to buy any fertilizer.

BAWARE: do not use spring grass clippings as mulch as spring grass clippings tend to have seeds in them.

games - have your kids use their imagination to make up their own games instead of having to buy them. If you do buy them, make sure you have family night once a week to utilize them and have quality time together.

gardening - ask friends and family or even in freecycle or craigslist - to split off their plants. Especially do this during the times when a particular tree, bush, or plant is supposed to be pruned. Free landscaping!
